We had a great time with a GREAT group of Nuttall field trippers this past Saturday, April 27, 2019, 200 years after his visit to the area. Nuttall-interested folks from Kansas, southern Arkansas, & Stillwater, OK traveled to Poteau and joined with folks from closer to home to explore the landscape of western AR and eastern OK through eyes informed by Nuttall’s journal. Here they are with the 1890s-era rock tower at Ben Geren Regional Park, where Jay Randolph’s shared his incredible hard work on tallgrass prairie restoration.
