Ted Daniels, who is a science teacher in Kinta, OK was part of our Nuttall trip last weekend. He sent this note via Facebook:
I recommend the Thomas Nuttall trip. The trip was very well organized. I would recommend this trip especially for other teachers. I learned so much about history, botany, zoology and even – for English teachers – historical documents.
Ted is a long-time leader of Blue Thumb groups with students, helping them learn about water quality and aquatic ecology. Through Ted and Blue Thumb they become citizen scientists, and advocates for clean water and healthy streams. It was great to have him on the trip; we learned a lot from him too!
